January Empties!

This post is a chance for you to look at my grubby empty packaging *how exciting* ... But it is also a chance to see what products I've used up this month and of those what I rated and those slated! (Haha!)

Molton Brown Ambrusca Cleansing Shower Oil

£23.00 for 200mls

I absolutely love this product. This an oil which turns into a milk when it comes into contact with water, it contains grape seed to purify and cleanse the skin whilst the oil texture leaves it silky smooth ideal for a person like me who often forgets to moisturise after showering. Personally I use this product straight out of the bottle onto the skin to shave with and then use the excess on my limbs to hydrate them but use a different shower gel to have an all over cleanse as I don't feel as clean when I use this alone but that is probably just me! I could go as far to say this is a life changing product as my skin feels amazing after use and I couldn't imagine using anything different to shave with. I would defiantly repurchase and I already have another one ready to go.

Lee Stafford "Hair that never grows past a certain length" Treatment Mask
 £7.99

I love this product, whilst it doesn't make your hair magically grow overnight it definitely makes it feel thicker, healthier and more manageable which in turn promotes hair growth. I slap this on after shampooing from root to ends and leave it on for at least 5 minutes whilst I get on with other things in the shower then wash it off and apply conditioner, even though it says use the matching shampoo and conditioner I don't! I prefer something different. The only downsides of this product is 1. It doesn't last long, I have got roughy 12 uses out of it and I used less than the recommended amount and 2. It has a very synthetic sweet almost cheap scent to it. That said I have already repurchased another tub.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

 Shade No.2 Light

This is everyone's favourite concealer and everyone and their mum has written a review on it so there isn't much for me to say that hasn't been covered already! I use this on blemishes and to cover dark circles, it lasts all day, is easy to blend and is cheap as chips! This is my second tube have already purchased another one!

Clarins Wake Up Booster

£15.50 for 125mls

This is a 30ml deluxe sample that I got in a kit with my moisturiser back in November, I use this after cleansing in place of a toner to refresh and pep my skin as it contains white tea and generally make me look awake. It contains anti-oxidants as well to protect from free radicals in the environment that cause ageing *win*. I have already ordered the full version!

Molton Brown Enlivening Toko-Yuzo Bath&Shower Gel

£18.00 for 300mls

This is a great 'morning' shower gel as it has a citrus scent of bitter orange and mandarin to give that burst of energy in the morning, if you are like me and like a strong shower gel to wake you up then you'll love this! There is nothing to dislike about this product and I would repurchase this in the future but to be honest I have lots of other shower products to get through first and this one hasn't any particular stand out qualities that would make me rush out and buy this as soon as it ran out however nice it is!

Bye for now

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

Shade Cashew Beige - £33.00

Now I'm going to be honest I'm a little bit of a foundation whore, I am forever flitting between different ones, I like various foundations for various reasons and occasions.
I first came across this foundation when a work colleague lent me hers to try and despite been 20 shades too light for me (slight exaggeration) I fell in love with it! So a quick trip to Space NK followed..

But for some reason I just couldn't get it to work for me and I was really disappointed as it isn't a drugstore foundation, its the most I've ever spent on one and it just got left out of my everyday routine, I maybe used it once a week on lazy days (stupid I know) and this carried on for about a month.

Then I decided as part of my new years resolution to make better use of my make up before buying new supplies so I forced myself to use it... and I tell you what I bloody love it!
Its a medium to heavy coverage with a slight luminous finish -it makes you look really healthy, to be fair I think it would give a more glowing appearance but I do use a mattifying primer. You only need the slightest amount as it is so highly pigmented, which is where I think It was going wrong for me before. I buff it into the skin lightly with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush for the best finish, I even think I'm going to buy another tube a shade down for when I'm not as tanned!
All in all my new favourite foundation!

Bye for now
